About

Polaris Bank is a Nigerian commercial bank headquartered in Lagos and recognised as one of the country’s notable digital-focused financial institutions. It provides retail, SME, and corporate banking services to customers across Nigeria through an extensive branch network and multiple digital channels.

Established in 2018, Polaris Bank was created as a bridge bank following regulatory intervention in the resolution of the defunct Skye Bank Plc. The institution was set up by the Central Bank of Nigeria to continue banking operations, preserve customer confidence, and assume selected assets and liabilities of the former bank. In 2021, ownership passed to Strategic Capital Investment Limited (SCIL), marking a new phase in the bank’s development as a privately owned commercial lender.

Since commencement, Polaris Bank has positioned itself around service delivery, digital innovation, and operational stability. Its product and service portfolio includes current and savings accounts, loans, transfers, payment solutions, cards, trade finance, and corporate banking services tailored to individuals and organisations. The bank also places strong emphasis on digital access through mobile banking, online banking, ATMs, and POS-enabled services.

A key feature of Polaris Bank’s market strategy is its digital banking platform, VULTe, which supports customers with convenient, secure, and flexible self-service options. This focus has helped the bank earn recognition for its digital performance, including multiple industry awards for digital banking. Polaris Bank also maintains correspondent banking relationships to support project finance and trade-related transactions.

Today, Polaris Bank operates across more than 250 locations nationwide, with a footprint that reflects its ambition to serve a broad customer base while maintaining a modern, technology-driven banking model. Its evolution from a bridge bank to a standalone commercial institution has become a defining part of its identity in Nigeria’s financial services sector.

To drive financial inclusion, digital transformation, and economic growth by delivering customer-first banking experiences and tailored financial solutions
