Bayero University Kano

Bayero University Kano (BUK) is a public university in Kano State with roots that go back to the early 1960s, but it became a full university in 1975 and later became fully independent in 1980. Its history reflects a long institutional evolution from a small college into one of Nigeria’s most established universities, with a strong reputation beyond the country’s borders.
