NgCareers is one of Nigeria’s early online career platforms, built to help job seekers discover vacancies, compare employers, and access practical career information in one place. It emerged from a simple but important gap in the market: many Nigerian professionals could find jobs online, but they had far less visibility into salaries, workplace conditions, company reputation, and the broader information needed to make better career decisions. NgCareers positioned itself to solve that problem by combining job listings with career guidance and employer intelligence.

The platform was founded in 2009 by Andrew Eze and Paul Eze, and it began as a small job-collation project before growing into a major recruitment and career brand in Nigeria. Over time, it expanded beyond vacancy listing into company reviews, salary information, interview insights, CV support, and other tools aimed at improving the quality of job search and workplace decision-making. That broader mission gave it a stronger identity than a conventional job board.

NgCareers became especially useful to employers and recruiters because it offered access to a targeted audience of job seekers, while also helping candidates better understand the organizations they were applying to. The company’s growth eventually led to acquisition by Jobberman in 2020, which marked a significant milestone in Nigeria’s online recruitment sector. That acquisition reflected NgCareers’ strategic value as a platform with a trusted brand, a strong user base, and a differentiated product set. Even after the acquisition, its legacy remains tied to its role in democratizing access to career information for Nigerian professionals.

At its core, NgCareers helped make the Nigerian job market more navigable.
